A pond pump transports the water to the Filtomatic CWS. Here, the water first flows past the UV lamp and then onto the filter sponges . The UV lamp destroys suspended algae in the pond water. A cleaning rotor rotates around the quartz glass, which protects the UV lamp, and also oxygenates the water. The UV lamp is switched on or off depending on seasonal needs. The filter also indicates when the UV lamp needs to be replaced. This makes the filter up to 40% more energy-efficient . The efficient filter sponges filter the water mechanically and biologically. Pond sludge that settles to the bottom is automatically removed from the filter via the drain. This is done by a built-in pump that automatically switches on when needed.
