Maintaining the water hardness (GH value) is crucial for a stable pond environment and healthy plant growth. This is especially important because biological processes in the pond continually reduce this hardness. The GH value is expressed in German degrees of hardness (DH). A suitable hardness ranges between 8 and 12°DH.
Velda GH Plus is a highly effective product for increasing the total hardness of pond water. This hardness is primarily created by calcium and magnesium sulfates. These important minerals ensure that the environment remains stable, aquatic plants grow, and soil bacteria can develop.
