All Velda filters are equipped with special built-in UV-C units. These separate units can be used with the Clear Control pressure filters, Cross-Flow Biofill , and Giant Biofill XL . They operate using ultraviolet radiation, which attacks the cells of green algae and pathogens. With these UV-C units, you quickly achieve crystal-clear pond water and a healthy environment for fish and aquatic plants. They are equipped with special long-life UV-C lamps.
Available in 9, 18, 36 and 55 Watts.
The advantage of the unit is that all algae and any pathogens are killed before the water passes through the filter media. You'll quickly achieve crystal-clear pond water and a healthy environment for fish and aquatic plants.
The included long-life UV-C lamps have a lifespan of over 7,500 hours.
The 55 Watt UV-C unit can be mounted in the Velda Clear Control 75 and 100 pressure filters.
