How to check your Velda UVC lamp?

At Velda, the transformers of the UVC units are equipped with safety features. This is mandatory because UVC radiation is harmful to the skin and eyes.

Now you may want to test whether the UVC lamp is working before inserting it into the filter.

Only activate the UV-C lamp when fully assembled and check its operation through the transparent screw cap. For your safety, the lamp automatically switches off when you unscrew the end cap (while the plug is still in the socket). Then unplug the unit. You can switch the UV-C unit back on by reconnecting the plug. Always unplug the unit before unscrewing the end cap and fitting for maintenance. The PL UV-C lamp only achieves optimal output after two weeks. Place the ballast in a location sheltered from sun and rain.
