The Oase Filtomatic 7000 is a highly intelligent pond filter that not only cleans ponds but also automatically removes its own debris. Water enters the flow-through filter via the pond pump . The filter capacity is automatically adjusted to the seasonal needs of your pond, which means the following: The built-in UVC unit with an 11-watt lamp kills suspended algae and activates as needed, resulting in energy savings of up to 40%. A cleaning rotor rotates around the quartz glass of the UV lamp, which also provides oxygen enrichment. The water then reaches the filter foam , which biologically and mechanically cleans the water, after which it flows back to the pond. Pond sludge that remains at the bottom of the filter can be automatically removed by the flow-through filter via a built-in pump. This permanently removes phosphate and nutrients, resulting in less filamentous algae. The UV lamp, the pond pump, and the built-in pump for removing pond sludge can also be switched on and off manually. For example, it's useful to briefly turn off the pond pump and UV lamp to manually clean the filter foam by moving the levers up and down. Once you've done this, you can manually turn on the built-in pump that drains the dirty water. This built-in pump automatically switches off when the filter tank is empty. The pond filter indicates when the filter foam needs cleaning and even when the UV lamp needs replacing. The Oase Filtomatic can be buried up to 70% of the way to the pond's edge, allowing you to neatly hide it from view.
