Description

Secret water test strips set 6 in 1 (50pcs)

Water testing is the basis for maintaining a healthy pond. By focusing on water quality, the pond will become stable, allowing for greater enjoyment of the pond and its inhabitants. To naturally combat algae growth and create an optimal environment for fish, water quality is paramount!

Therefore, it is important to regularly measure the pond water and react accordingly if necessary.

Enter the test results on the following page and receive customized advice.

These Secret test strips are easy to read and allow you to measure the following values:

Nitrate > When ammonia is converted via nitrite by nitrifying bacteria in the biological filter, nitrate is eventually formed. Nitrate is a much less dangerous substance than ammonia and nitrite. We want to keep this as low as possible in the pond, read more about Nitrate.

Nitrite > Nitrite (NO2-) is formed from ammonia in the biological filter. If the nitrite value in the pond becomes too high, its inhabitants can get into trouble. We want to keep this as low as possible in the pond, read more about Nitrite.

GH > When we talk about water hardness, terms like GH (Gesamt Härte, General Hardness) and KH (Karbonat Härte, Carbonate Hardness) come into view. The ideal GH value in the pond is between 8 & 14 ºDH, read more about the GH value

KH > The KH of the pond water is extremely important. Its importance is often underestimated and can lead to a pH crash. The ideal KH value in the pond is between 5 & 8, read more about the KH value

PH > Acidity, hereafter referred to as pH, is one of the most important water values to monitor. Our pond fish prefer a pH between 7 and 8, and it is very important that this remains stable throughout the day. Read more about PH.

CL2 > Certain water companies add chlorine to tap water to disinfect it. Unlike in a swimming pool, there should be absolutely no chlorine in the pond water. Even in very small amounts, chlorine is not tolerated by aquatic plants or pond fish. It is therefore crucial that the chlorine value of a pond is 0.

The 6 most important parameters of your pond water can be tested with these test strips.

A total of 50 water tests can be performed with 1 pack.
