Preformed Pond Jupiter SI - 230 liters
Quickly add a pond to your garden with this polyethylene pond trough. It has a 230-liter capacity and several levels for planting. This smaller pond trough from our range is highly resistant to UV radiation and frost. Thanks to the perfect balance of length, width, and depth, this preformed pond creates a well-functioning habitat. Referring to the different levels: the Jupiter SI features planting surfaces, marsh zones, and habitat edges.
Pond construction tips:
- Place the pond in its desired location. Choose a strategic spot in the garden; 4-6 hours of sunlight per day is ideal, and be mindful of any debris from trees and plants next to the pond.
- mark the shape of the pond with stakes.
- Dig out the shape within the stakes and remove the roots and stones. A good tip is to dig the hole 10 cm deeper and wider. This allows you to fill in the sand under and around the pond later.
- The pond is level; this can easily be checked with a ruler. Place the ruler across the pond and check if it is level. If everything is correct, fill the pond 30% with water.
- Now add the desired plants and any pump to the pond. Once everything is set up, you can fill the rest of the pond.
Please note that a pond needs approximately one year to fully mature, so the pond must experience all seasons to mature sufficiently.
