The pond tub 150 liters
This pre-formed pond has a capacity of 150 liters and features various depth zones, creating an attractive and playful effect. The different depths also provide a wide variety of flora and fauna. The dimensions of this pond tub are width 80 cm / depth 45 cm / length 120 cm.
Secret Aqualux 2500
The Secret Aqualux 2500 is a 3-in-1 filter, meaning: 1. a fountain for a beautiful display; the falling water provides extra oxygen and safety for your fish. 2. the filter material provides a biological filter that strengthens the nitrogen cycle. 3. the UVC lamp will kill all algae that pass by the pond, resulting in clear pond water.
Premium pond substrate
Apply the pond substrate to the bottom and depth zones of the pond tub. This multifunctional substrate is not only a pond bottom but also a filter material. It is a porous material with a large internal surface for the adhesion of beneficial bacteria.
Secret pond starter kit
The Secret starter kit is a complete package with 4 water treatment products that you can use for your new pond. First, the Secret Filterstart to provide your filter with all beneficial bacteria. The Secret Pond Booster is a maintenance product that you should add monthly to keep your pond healthy and clear. Secret GH+ which increases the total hardness with minerals that also stabilize the KH value. Finally, Secret KH+ which increases the KH value and stabilizes the PH value. This is a lot of information for a beginner pond owner, but don't worry, all information and dosages can be found in the starter kit.
Secret water test strips set 6 in 1 (50pcs)
Water testing is the basis for maintaining a healthy pond; by managing water quality, the pond will become stable. This allows for more enjoyment of the pond and its inhabitants. To naturally prevent algae growth and create an optimal environment for fish, water quality is paramount!
To achieve this, it is important to regularly test the pond water and react accordingly if necessary.
Installing the pond tub
- Place the pond tub where it should go. Choose a strategic spot in the garden; 4-6 hours of sunlight per day is ideal, and consider potential debris from trees and plants next to the pond.
- Mark the shape of the pond with stakes.
- Dig out the shape within the stakes and remove roots and stones. A tip is to dig the hole 10cm deeper and wider. You can then later backfill with sand under and around the pond.
- The pond is leveled; this can be easily checked with a straightedge. Place the straightedge across the pond and see if it is level. If this is all correct, fill the pond 30% with water.
- First rinse the gravel and then add it to the bottom of the pond and optionally to the depth zones.
- Now add the desired plants and place the Oase Filtral 1500 in the pond tub. It is now time to fill the pond tub completely.
Please note, a pond needs approximately 1 year to fully establish itself, so it must have experienced all seasons to sufficiently mature.
During this maturation period, it is important to perform pond maintenance correctly and to accurately measure your water values. For example, write them down weekly so you can see if they are improving or deteriorating.
