How can I tell if my fish have fungus or white spot? Symptoms of an infected fish include lethargy, chafing, and decreased appetite.

Visible characteristics of a white spot fish include white, semolina-like spots, a grayish-white to dark coating, and/or nearly invisible spots that later spread to the gills, fins, and entire body. Fungus is visible to the naked eye as white to green cottony patches.
