The Oase Biosmart 36,000 is a complete flow-through filter that ensures a clear and healthy pond. The Oase Biosmart's housing features a special water flow system that provides additional oxygen enrichment. The water enters the filter via the 11,000-liter-per-hour Pondomax pond pump and passes through the Secret UVC unit. With a 36-watt UV lamp, the UVC unit combats floating algae and pathogens. The pond water then flows into the filter sponges . These ensure the mechanical and biological cleaning of the pond water. The lockable lid reduces noise, and the dark environment creates ideal conditions for the nitrification process. The pond water should then flow back into the pond via a drain. The filter should therefore always be above the water level, but can be buried up to a third for neat concealment. The biggest advantages of the Oase Biosmart series are the cleaning functions . The lid of the Oase Biosmart 36000 features a water temperature indicator as well as an indicator that shows the level of contamination. The cleaning handles allow you to easily squeeze out the sponges. If you also open the bottom drain with a simple lever, the contaminated water will not flow back into the pond. With these features, the Biosmart is an easy-to-install and maintain flow-through filter that cleans your pond water very effectively.
