If your UV-C filter has been in continuous use for a pond season, the light output will have decreased. It is then recommended to replace the lamp. Velda offers a wide range: from 5 to 55 watts. These lamps are 30% more efficient and have a 30% longer lifespan than standard models.
Please note: Velda has its own type of lamp, these are slightly longer than the universal lamps.
If you have a Velda UVC unit, you will need an original Velda UV-C replacement lamp.

The UV-C lamps should be replaced annually; the UV lamp has approximately 8,000 hours of life. After this period, the lamp loses its power.
